WOW !!!! What A Ride since Christmas.I know that I haven't posted anything in awhile so I had better get with it.
The new year has brought about a lot of changes of which most are for the better. As I see it anyway. Some would disagree. HA
I have a new lady in my life which leads to some interesting challenges for an "Inter-personally Retarded" person such as myself. Yes I can be difficult at times but she puts up with me anyway. Sometimes she just doesn't know if it is worth the effort but she just hangs in there. So far at least.
Child-ling #3 celebrated her 20th birthday and catnapped my kitties. I still have visitation privileges. It warms my heart to see them start to run from a stranger but then recognize "DADDY" and run into my arms just like my child-lings. Maybe I am not so bad after all.
My sister and bro-in-law came and camped in their fifth-wheeler on the coldest week of the year just to meet my new lady. Unfortunately they were unprepared for 0 degree weather but they are very resourceful and managed very well. One thing about my bro-in-law is that he is a diehard HOOTERS man. We managed to eat there three times in one week. I was about HOOTERED OUT by the time he left. Being also a diehard camp man he grilled next to a large fire two of the nights in sub 20 degree weather. The challenge was to rotate at the right speed to not freeze on one side and roast on the other. Overall we had a great time. They left just in time to miss the snow flurries which delighted my sister.
It has been a good year for me so far. I pray that it stays that way but I know hard times are always just around the corner. When it gets rough just stand firm and don't let the winds blow you over.
